Income tax returns is not a required document in an interview.
In fact,I for one would not give my income tax returns in an interview. It is a personal document that the interviewer has no right to see

Hello
Income Tax return is not mandatory to file whose salary is below 500000/- Per Annum. This is applicable for salary Income only. So there is no question for interview, and its your personal call whether you are filling your Tax return or not. Company can't ask for.

Dear Member
Why are you panicking ? The PAN card is a documents which normally all companies ask as it is one of the Identification Proofs. Further it is one the mandatory documents when some one wants to open a bank account. As you are working in Payroll you should be well aware of the importance of the PAN Card.
Go ahead, attend the interview. Best of Luck

Dear V
Preetam is right
You are panicking unnecessarily
I agree it's a dream job for you
But the guys there are also human
Whatever problem you have you can tell them straight off
Tell them your current salary is below taxable limit and therefore you have not taken a pan number of filed a return till now. And that if pan number is mandatory for this company, I will apply for it as soon as I get selected. I have other documents for I'd and address proof and my salary certificates / pay slip. In addition, ifmu wish to,verify my salary, I can show u my bank statement where the salary was deposited (avoid giving a copy as again it's personal info, but if you have to, well what diff it makes to you ?)

Dear V,
Why panic. Submit your form 16 issued by the earlier employer. That is sufficient proof for IT. Inspite of that the TAX Returns are required. You can file the same online on the basis of form 16 you have.

Dear Vamshi,
Nothing wrong in revealing your PAN or IT return, if U have filed recently. Since your salary income is within taxable limits U need not file the IT Return. I presume, pardon me if I'm wrong, U R reluctant bcaz U might have indicated Ur present salary much higher and afraid now to reveal the real thing. If so, don't worry, just tell them "I have not filed bcaz I need not" But I can't escape the PAN. Give them and be peaceful after all U aspire for such a post and U cant' afford to miss it. If Ur.selection is blocked bcaz of the IT return better file it now and give them the ack. sheet, face it boldly. All the best pal.

I hope you must have attended interview till now. This is first time I hear that Interviewer is asking for IT returns. Anyway, you can even show them form 16, or you can file previous two years returns now.
