Hi,
Please find the response below:
INDUCTION:
• Induction comes first & is followed by Orientation.
• Induction is of a shorter duration.
• Induction means introduction of the company as in the overall preview of company.
• It is more in the form of presentations.
ORIENTATION:
• Orientation comes after the Induction is completed.
• Orientation is for a longer duration & is carried on for a day or two.
• Orientation is the practical overview of the company that includes introducing an employee to different people of the organization making him more familiar with everyone so that he get the idea that what kind of company he will be working for and generating a level of comfort within the organization.
• The purpose of Orientation is to orient the employee so as to formally place him in the system.
Hope this helps.
