We have an employee whose spouse brain surgery made and gone to coma and then expired. Employee has a child age of 2.5 years and during the day and night the child searching his mother and crying, due to this Employee is on LWP since last 1 month and as a HR what will be the proceeding for the future...

Hi,

On humanitarian grounds provide some time for the employee to come out of this crisis. May be after some time when the employee is stable just find about as to whether he will be able to continue the employment or otherwise. If work from home option is available you may give that option as well. Any hasty move like termination would disturb the employee more.
