Hi All,
I have joined a company before 3 months.I have the responsibility of leading the recruitment team.I am also into Induction and payroll.I don't have prior exp in leading a recruitment team.
Please let me know, how to divide the responsibilities to my team mates. How to form the team?I have 2 members reporting to me.
I require some guidance.
One of the team members shortlists resumes from the job site and fills a excel sheet without talking to the candidates. It's like a database.I thn speak to the candidates and coordinate the interview.I have not given any particular responsibility to another member, who is a junior with 1 year exp.Do let me know, what can be done.
I want to follow a particular process which would improve the hiring system.
I have been into recruitment for 4 yrs and don't want to repeat the same task which I was doing during my initial yrs of career.I would like to distribute the task between these 2 members and want to engage myself in tasks at a higher level in recruitment.I dont mind doing the same work but not on a continous basis, because I want to learn other things as well.
I talk close to 40 candidates per day, schedule, coordinate interview which is very monotonous and very boring.
One of my team members is from a consultancy with 2 yrs exp
Other one also from consultancy with 8 months exp
How can I manage, guide, support, build this team.
I am getting good salary but talking to 40 candidates everyday over phone is sickening, which I have done for 4 yrs.I don't want to do this any more.I take face to face HR interview's, I am fine with that or HR round over telephone.
Currently we are 3 persons. We are hiring a senior manager-HR who would be into decision making and strategic role.Another Generalist HR for night shift.
I want to get into other gamut of HR functions along with recruitment. How can I express this to my seniors.During interview, it was clearly mentioned that I would be responsible for recruitment and induction.Even if I didn't like it, I joined the company thinking that I would get to learn other things as well, since in my earlier company, i never got any exposure.
Please suggest, advise. How to handle the situation?
