Hi
If the organisations are registered under PT act. the it should deduct PT from employees. It is mandate as per the statutory.
Incase if the organisations are not registered the immediately it should be registered. If the organisations are registered and not deducting then organisations have to pay the due amount including fine and penalty and interest

In all the states the employer has to pay Profession Tax on behalf of the employee and only thing is that the amount varies. It is not mandatory that the PF has to be deducted from the employees salary but the employer has to pay it by calculating as per the schedule.
