I really need some good advice from you all experienced people out there.
I am looking for a job in HR as a fresher. I started my career at the age of 21 as an air hostess and after 3 years quit the aviation industry and joined front office with a media company and quit that in 8 months and joined another company as front office and admin exec and quit the company in 6 months as my parents wanted me to get married. In 2011 i went back to college full time after getting married and completed my graduation in 2013, majors in economics with a first class. I had a baby who is 15 months old now and he goes to the creche.
I am looking for a job now in hr or admin. I have tried for 15 days now, have applied through naukri.com and other job portals. I haven't got any interview calls as yet as I feel my CV is very weak.
Now my question is should I join a recruitment firm as a recruiter? Here my concern is I am interested in a HR generalist role and not a recruiter role. Or should I wait it out to get into admin. I am finding it hard to find a admin job as well as I am getting offers for reception. I don't wish to go back to work as a receptionist as I know my skill sets are better than that of only being a receptionist.
Is there any distance education course which I should enroll for as I dont have time to do a full time mba for now.
I live in Mumbai in the suburbs.
Let me know your advice.

CV- There are so many idea for your cv and you can get it on net free of cost based on search.
Just serch and you will get more cv option related to any roll,work as a freelancer for few month.
MBA-Lot of Option are there based on Cost,Just try On MOOC-EDX belive me so many free courses are there ,may be you have to pay for certificate.
You should have a daily touch to TOI,If you have Smart phone download Free application for HRM from Googel application.
Very importent look and search for more info on Net.

First and foremost, I have changed the heading of your post. Your CV is not weak as such hence deleted that portion of the heading.
Your career confusion is because of not sticking to one particular industry. For career growth one should stick not to industry but function (like HR, Finance, Purchase etc). as well. Your change in industry was counter productive. Nothing wrong in changing industry also, however, you did not do was to make a career plan for the next 5-10 years. This not preparation of career plan is a root cause of your problems.
Imagine for a while if you had stuck to one particular industry like garment or retail or hospitality etc, the career break due to family reasons would not have mattered. However, this has come as double whammy to you. Anyway, this is hindsight. What next now?
Since you worked as cabin crew, obviously your communication skills supposed to be good. You supposed to be presentable also. Nevertheless, what you do not have is Admin experience hence turning down of your candidature. Against this backdrop, to restore the thread of your career, I recommend you joining again as FOA. However, this time you need to try to make a lateral move to get into Admin or Executive Assistant to Director.
While enhancing education is not bad idea per se nevertheless, your degree certification will not be a license to get a job. Your job search will continue even then also.
As a truce with destiny, you may get into recruitment but then that job also will not give you sense of fulfilment. Secondly, automation is happening very fast. Who knows if the recruitment gets automated, there could be reduced requirement of recruiters. In that case, what will you do after 5-10 years?
I may suggest you to join Hotel Industry as salesperson. Over a period of time you will grow surely. They require salespersons with good communication skills and presentation. Trust me if you work well then in just 7-8 years you will become VP (Sales). Do not get me wrong. I am not selling you dreams but sharing my experience.

Second thing is make a proper CV.
There are templates in the net for various type of CVs.
Modify them to suit your requirements.
One thing is make sure your CV is factually correct in all respects-spellings,grammar,sequential order of qualifications,work experience.
Your CV should be able to stand subsequent background verifications.
Keep applying for suitable jobs in Mumbai since you stay in this city.
You also have additional responsibility of the kid.
Register your name with bigger companies like L & T who accept CVs in their website for any vacancies which may arise.
You could do distance MBA,but value of such distance courses is lower in the eyes of recruiters.
You may have to be patient since you are looking for specific job,but sooner than later it will come your way.
Prepare in advance with knowledge about HR,procedures,duties etc so that you are well prepared for interview.
Sudden and quick switches in job will lead to questions in the interview.
It may not be a bad idea to join as a recruiter and try to move into HR.
As a recruiter you will get a wider idea of job market.
