Hi, I'm a new entrant to this community. I find the information here very useful. I am an MBA student doing my 3rd sem at Anna University... I'm specializing in HR & Finance. I'm right now doing my summer internship in a company. My project is to design a retention framework for the company... can anyone pls give me some out-of-the-ordinary retention strategies that are used in your company or that you know of. I've found a few games like stuff on this site which I thought were interesting ones used to highlight certain points within the organization (I'm not sure u can call them as part of retention strategies).... but I need some more retention strategies that i can use........can any1 pls help me?

Dear anjuag,
Respect,Recognition and Reward are fundamental of retaining employees. All HR policy/strategies should be made keeping these fundamentals in view. You should make strategies which enhance Fun, Flexibility,Friendly environment, Fast learning, Future growth, Financial rewards for employees.
There is proverb, It is easy to buy elephant but it is very difficult to maintain elephant. Similarly it is easy (comparing to retaining) to get great employees but it is very very difficult to keep or retain great employees.
