I'm looking for no cost birthday iniatives for celebrating birthdays in office.
Currently we just send out birthday greetings everyday to all Associates.
Since we celebrate around 60 - 70 birthdays in a month , please suggest any ideas that can be implemented on a day to day basis without involving any extra cost.

why should u not celebrated on the last day of every month of all the employee’s whom birthday comes in that month

if you are celebrating 60 to 70 birthdays in a month , I am assuming you have 720 employees in the organization.
Cost has to be attached , even if you send emailers cost is attached ( time and productivity).
Those whose birthday fall in 1st month , celebrate their birthdays on the 1st Saturday of the following month at a time. Arrange for a get together and let them cut the cake along with some refreshments.
This way all will get rid of work pressure also and some game and additional activity will be there in the office.
Cake and refreshment for all will cost 15000 in a year if arrange properly

Hey,
U could decorate their desk with balloon(s). Balloons don't cost much. And 5 Balloons ca decorate their whole desk.
Then as per Sandee's suggestion, u could celebrate all employees birthdays in that month on last date of the month.

if u give greetings thn u can add a 10/- chocolate wth it to add more sweet on their special day.
At the end of the month u can organize a get together for 1\2 hr. only, only for birthday employee + hr+ any one frm mgt.side in which u can arrange tea/coffee/cold drinks and some snacks (as per your budget) lyk samosa, rasgulla etc for this u can negotiate wth a vendor for rate as u may b required the snacks every month.

you can arrange to deliver a bouquet at their resident on behalf of entire unit. At office u can do a tilak ceremony on their arrival and arrange a lunch wth all Sr. staff members. also can present him/her a memento for e.g. God's memento or his/her pic in a big photo frame.

Thanks for the suggestions, but we already do cut cakes (which are done by the respective teammates), but we wanted to give a personal touch - the HR way!
Some of the ideas that came up was, put up notice board with the Associates photos and anyone passing by can write their wishes.
Any other suggestions will be highly appreciated.
