Hi guys,
I was recently given an offer by one of the amazing organization.
They also gave me 2.5 months to join.
So, upon accepting the offer letter I resigned from my current company and started serving the notice period.
Now, I am one of the top performers of my company and I was given quite a few great deals from my company to stay back.
I fought really hard for myself to keep the word I gave to new company but the current company kinda worked to resolve all the
issues I had when I had resigned, and since 2 months was a long time, I started to get 2nd thoughts on my decision of resigning.
My current company has always treated me well and the other company who rolled out an offer letter to me was one of the most authentic
the company in the world and I really wanted to go there.
Within all this dilemma, I choose not to act and I stayed back with my current organization and notified them like a few weeks before DOJ.
I wrote to the other company that I am deciding to stay back and really loved them but my life here was also comfortable, which they
took kind of took it fine. They just wished me luck in my future endeavors.
But, I am sure I wasted a lot of their time. But I really look forward to going to that company someday since I loved everything about it, now its just that I don't know whether they will hire me ever again.
How can I make up for it so that in future I may go and join them?

Hi Ankur Sharma,
I think this is a tricky one.
You have withdrawn your resignation after your current employer provided you the best offers when you have put resignation and started serving notice period.
As you are stating that the company that offered you the job, which you rejected is an amazing company. So such an amazing company/professional company may surely not consider your candidature immediately. But if the same offer comes to you in a later stage and that too in a senior capacity you can definitely accept the same.
No company bars performing /aspirant /employee to join them, only for the simple reason that the offer was declined by the employee himself. What I mean here is you had your reasons to reject the same.
So stay composed and give your best in the present company, future can be decided later.

You seem to be torn between two angels. Vamshi gave a piece of sound advice. For now stay composed and live in the present, having decided to stay with your old company and believe in the time tested adage that a known angel is better than unknown angel since not only you love the present company but the company also loves you unlike in many cases where companies love for old employees wanes with the time more so in I.T sector. Think about future but don't worry about future. In such dilemmas as you now went through, after some time, we come to know that what happened was good for us. Who knows that some thing better than the company you missed now, is awaiting you in future. Stay focused on current job because what you do now creates your future and the world is full of possibilities and keep trying. All the best.
