Hi,
I work for a private organisation in Delhi.
We are trying to prepare a holiday calendar for our employees for the upcoming year 2013.
We have already enlisted three gazetted holidays i.e. republic day, Independence day and Gandhi Jayanti. Along with Restricted holidays.
Now the issue is that on what basis should we prepare the holiday list?what is the minimum no of leave that are mandatory for an organisation?
and is there is a set format based on which the classification of leaves is done while preparing the same?
Please help.

Dear Member
The holidays are subject to provisions of the following acts :-
1. Shops and Establishment act
2. National Festival & Holidays Act
The above two acts are state acts and may or may not be applicable in the state of Delhi. You will have to check locally.
Further the holidays will follow the policies of the organisation and therefore it is difficult to have a set format for holidays.
