Hey,
You can claim EDLI under form 5IF which you can get from EPF & Misc Provision Act. and the maximum amount one can receive is Rs.60,000/- subject to being a regular contributary members for 36 months.
The dealing office is the regional or subregional E.P.F office.

Thank you very much Mr Peer and Mr Panda.
One more querry Mr Panda. What all are the documents needed to be submitted for claiming the insurance amount. And what all are the conditions for claiming the amount. I mean Is Hospitalisation is required? If yes then is it necessary to be a Govt Hospital only or is there ant list of listed hospitals? Is EDLIS like Personal accident Insurance or Mediclaim Insurance or Insurance against death only? I am quite confused. Plz help

Hai Uma,
You are confused that edli is highlighted in PF amount. No it is not so edli is Employees deposit linked insurance scheme where employer only pays the requisite liability for the employee.

Hi Uma,
RKP said right. Apart from the contribution of 12% towards PF employer has to pay additional 0.5% towards EDLIS. This is mandatory on the part of employer so you dont need to worry whether it has been deposited by employer or not.

Hi Uma,
This 1.61% includes 0.5% towards EDLIS. You need not goto your management to insist them for anything. I already told you no employer can escape this contribution so dont be worry. You may please follow this link where I have clarified the various accounts of PF Challan:
