Help Help !!!!!!!!
Hey everyone. M new to this BPO. I just joined a company as Voice tech support. I hav made a grave mistake during the process. I said them I finished my education with 10+2 which is not true. M infact doing my Engg. Now, I was told that if the company finds out abt this, they'll kick me out. I joined the company mainly for the extra buck, I realised that it would be better if I could use the experience in this BPO in my resume during my placements.
My question is,is there any chance that I could update my profile in the company records later, like after my Engg graduation?
If thats not possible, Will the software companies do a back ground verification abt my work-ex in this BPO? If they will, what kinda information could they retrieve frm my ex-employer? Like is there any chance that they'll know frm my ex-employer that my education has stopped from 10+2 ?
I thought someone from HR can help me out regarding this matter.
I need ur help with this, ppl. M not the kinda guy who comes just to kill some time by working. M serious when i work. So, pls help me out. If there is any way out. M ready for it.
Thanks in Advance,

As my experience shows that most of the candidates hide some facts during the recruitment and selection process. HR Deprtment prefers to check your References, Previous Employer etc but as far as educational qualification concerns, mostly they cehck at the time of joining. Dont worry, now you have made an mistake, just keep quite and work hard to get the confidence of your seniors. They will definitely do something for you if there happen any thing negative. Best of luck.

Thank you for your advice. I was apprehensive. Thank you once again.
P.S - Would I have been in a lot more trouble if I mentioned in my resume that I I completed my Engineering even if I haven't?

Hey man,
Nothing to worry, just dont revel anything in the present organization.
After completing you eng you can apply to s/w company, moreover your BPO experience will not be calculated for s/w, if at all some companies considers that, in their background check they will not check your education details.
They check only your work duration and salary packages and about your perfomance nothing more than that.
so needn't to worry about the future companies, but make it very confidential in the present organization else .......

Yes you would have been into a lot more trouble if you had lied about the completion of your engineering.
As it is company will not be checking whether you are pursuing something right now or not (just don't tell anyone about it).
I also doubt that you would be able to use the current experience in another company which is not a BPO, because companies generally look for full time experience post your graduation, and hence this would not be of much use.
I hope this helps you and clarifies your doubts.

Hi
U should not hide the fact of miscoding your education status from the management even if U are at risk of loosing job. I assure U that management of the Organization rather shall appreciate your courage in disclosing. Actually this will a correcting measure to your own attitude.
Frankly speaking Management is not much for the College education certificates/degrees but more selective the performance part of entrusted tasks. If U are master of your skill, U can win the Management's tilt in your favour. As far as U are able to deliver results, the Management shall be favorable and will be a proud of employee like U for your courage of disclosing.

Hey,
You need not discuss the same with the other people.Keep up your good performance.
Qualification do matters when you apply for further study based jobs but for the time being your doing a BPO service, which you ain't be taking as a profession.
So continue with it without flashing out your details and gain experience.

Its is serious mistake, it should not occure bcoz this is main thing on which you are offered job. If HR department did not check physically orverify your degree then no problem but it may serious that will definitly lead your dismissal as you are not qualified for the job. Take care in future to avoid such blunders. Best of luck.
