what is the legal consequences when i quit my job immediately after 3 days of joining in a company.
As far as i know, if an employee didn\'t received any payment from the employer, the employment doesn\'t stand and hence will not have any legal issues.

How did you come to know that there is no legal issue if you have not received any salary from the company?
There may not be any legal issue but an employee employer relationship is built not on the legal frame work alone but there is something called sensible and moral responsibilities. If your appointment was at the factory gate (just walk in, take job, do the work, collect wages and walk out....) then you need not have to worry about the moral of the relationship. On the other hand, if you were invited for an interview, you were given an offer letter on a remuneration acceptable to you, the company waited for one or more months so that you can get relieved from your previous company and then you joined and after that the company took pain to get you inducted; if this is the situation, leaving is just unethical, if not illegal.

HI
Adding to Madhu, if you have signed the appointment letter, then all terms and conditions will apply and you have to go through the procedure as per the company policy. Secondly, if you have genuine reasons to leave that company, you can pretty well inform them officially and leave the place, so that they will also be in a position to look for an replacement.

Hi
Adding on this, what ever reason it may be, if an employee is absconding or leaving soon after joining, he should first inform to HR about this reason. There should always be ways for such situation by mutual discussion. By mutually discussing with the HR notice period can he redused in such a way that a replacement can also be manageMSR
