As per the Labour Code 2019, the Standing Order is applicable to the manufacturing industry if the number of workmen is 100 or more. If it is less than 100, then Model S.O. is applicable. But in our industry, the number of workmen is 80 & we are having & following the Certified S.O.
Can any of our esteemed readers please clarify whether we should follow the Model S.O or continue to follow the certified S.O?

As per the prevailing laws, in some States the number of workmen shall be 100 or more, for
applicability of Standing orders. But in States like Kerala the number of workmen shall be 50 or
more. Since you are in the State of Karnataka, please refer to Karnataka Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act & Rules, 1961, for determining applicability of CSO.
As you have already done Certification of SO by Labour authorities, a photo copy of the same may be exhibited in the Notice Board of the factory, and you need not follow Model SO.

applicability of Standing Orders.
