Dear All,
Ours is a 100+ employee, HR Consulting organization and we have Trainees to Manager level employee.Is it mandatory to have an ESI Deduction?
It has been in industry since 2008 and no ESI deduction done in all theses years.The employees however have a PF deduction on monthly basis.
Kindly advice/let me know if ESI can be waived off .

If your establishment is in ESI implemented area you should have ESI coverage. Please verify if your area is ESI implemented area. If so, your coverage will take place retrospectively from the date on which the employees on your rolls became 20. Now the threshold limit is only 10.
