Employees State Insurance Act 1948 provides various benefits including maternity benefit which includes, Maternity Leave with Wages, medical support, and so on.
If the employee had contributed atleast 70 days of work in the preceding year then eligibility is comes for the claim. 12 Weeks of maternity leave is extended Kindly use the forms given under ESI and intimate the employer and ESI Local Office furnishing the required details. ( Normally the employer will help in sending he forms to ESI Local Office)
It is easy practically to visit the ESI Local Office attached and Meet the Local Office Manager for more help and extend the benefit
