1. Why there is more preference to Females in HR Roles?
Answer: Because many see HR as a people's area where the one handling it should be gud in tolerance, soft-spoken, appealing, empathy etc. And we, as a society have long since attributed these qualities to women just like we have attributed qualities such as physical strength, rational thinking etc to men, which obviously arent true always. But we still have that psychological block of stereo-typing.
(thats the reason i was given by many orgn heads for hiring females in HR)
2. How Females as an HR Manager can cope up with a situation of aggressive conflict...
Answer: Conflict handling has nothing do with the gender. It needs thinking-on-feet and tact. So this question doesnt make sense in the context of gender diffs.
3. Can Females justify the extra time required (Late Hours / Odd Hours) for People Management Roles in Large Organisations:
Answer: There are many females who work in night shifts/odd hours in various other fields and in HR as well.
Btw, if you think working late/extra hours is the criteria for doing a job then i must say u cudnt be more mistaken.
4 How does a Female justify the work-Life balance
Answer: Just the same way as a Male justifies his.
I hope i have answered all your queries.
Just one suggestion though.....its high time people stopped even thinking abt the gender differences in the job...
Its time we all accept the fact that performing at a job requires your skills and capabilities which you acquire as a 'person', an 'individual' through a learning process....and not as male or female.
Btw, even raising a doubt abt justification of a female employee's work-life balance and working style itself is discriminating because ur questioning the capabilities of a person based on the gender......:)

coz of their looks..
2
when the concerned HR person is female the conflict does not become aggressive at all, as major ppl always speak with respect and softly with females to avoid problems (ie. she can start crying,, etc etc etc)
3
hah ,, thats where females get an extra point over males, they are never told to sit back,,, late in office,, and the most they do in HR is recruitment, and training, performance appraisal, rarely are there any specialised and do handle the statutory relations, legal laws, HARDCORE INDUSTRIAL REALTIONS involving UNIONS and WORKERS etc,,, they do only soft part of HR
4
their job in HR is more easy than the job which male Hr does, may be the females should go and see how the male HR works in a mfg industry,,, or some production units and what what issues they have to handle....

Question ONE:
I agree to you totally
Question Two:
Has a lot of sense provided if you have experienced real "Agressive" conflicts in Large Organisaitons, which is often now a days and we are expereincing it in our region atleast.
Question No Three:
Working Long hours is one of a major critical problem seen in HR personnels, hence this question augmentted. Being a lady obviously makes a difference. Provided you take it in its real sense and being more rationale rather than being defensive.
Question No Three:
I wish it goes so well and smooth as you said it.
Once again deepthi for yoru below remarks....
Btw, even raising a doubt abt justification of a female employee's work-life balance and working style itself is discriminating because ur questioning the capabilities of a person based on the gender.....
I disagree with you. Its not at all discriminating. I am sure there are hundreds of people (Males) who would like to know what is that extra quality that is being seen in Females and as situation prevails is not being identified in Males or rather Males are seen as "Not fit for that job", hence I am sure as a Learner, to fill in the gap one would have defently given atleast once a thougth that "What is that, which is missing quality in a Male".
