Hi, Greetings!!!! I have joined one BPO two months before.Lots of stress, workload, daily 13 to 14 hours i am working here.
Here everyone is on contract. If i want to leave this job one month notice period or deposit one month salary.
Is there any clause in Bombay shops & establishment act for contract employees? i.e.one month salary or one month notice period within 2 months.
Is there any probation? Pl. help.

Hi, Notice period doesn’t differ on Permanent & Contract employees. It depends on organization’s HR policies. You should check your appointment letter for the same.

First of all you are eligible for compensatory off for overtime worked. or claim for overtime as deemed fit. working 13 to 14 hours is only is acceptable if that does not harm you health. and your employer is rascal or selfish who do not care for his employee and his business must be stopped. if i would have been his HR manager he would have beg mercy for atrocities on employees because employer is making just money and not sharing that to employee is criminal.

Dear Mili,
Under Punjab Shop Act,1958 notice by the employee is be given after the service of three months. Plz go through the Bombay Shop Act. Appointment letter is not above the law. Contact the area Labour /Shop Inspector for this issue.
