They are ready to pay 22kdinars.
My husbands pay package is 9lacs and since I am also working. ours
pay package comes to 13lacs p.a.
I would like know whether we can have the same level of standard of living or better standard living with his current offer.
Also I would appreciate if some one can share the difference in living and culture.

Yes, you must avail this oppurtunity. Because,
1. Abu Dhabi is much more cheaper than Dubai in all sense.
2. You can get an appartment on rental on very reasonable rates.
3. Living cost is not on higher side.
4. Culture is almost the same as majority of the population belongs to south asia.
5. For international carrer projection, its a very good chance.
Tell me one thing more clearly,
your package is 1300,000 Rs. per annum in india
and 22k dinars or Dirhams annually ???

I am living in Abu dhabi so i think i can give you a good picture of this
22K diahrams is a good salary and since you are also working i guess you will work here too so you can add your income too to your husbands income
let me tell you few things about here, first of all
there are no studio flats or one bedroom flats in abu dhabi, even if they are it is very rare you can find one or even if you find it is very very expensive
average cost of finding a flat as of today is as follows
one bed around 40K- 70K diahrams
two bed would be 50 - 120K diahrams
three bed would be 70 k and above
this would be annual charges, but it depends on landlords they may take the entire month in advance or bi - annual but you have to pay in advance if you get a central ac flat your water electricity will come upto 150 dhms per month on higher side but if you go for window ac flat it will be around 350-400 dhms per month
but if you are really really lucky you may get cheaper flats, it is better to go for central ac flats since, most of the window ac flats are under demolition.. a warning finding accomodation in Abu dhabi at present is like winning a million dollar lottery
a lot of falts go in for sharing where for a room it is 2000 diahrams per month paid monthly and the kitchen is sharing - which is the best way to live and save and find a good flat
abu dhabi is a matrix 3 vertical and 3 horizontal roads, these are the main streets of abu dhabi
horizontal is khalifa, then hamdan and electra these are major hubs and khalifa is very expensive becoz it over looks the bay
then we have airport road and passport road and najda
there is no entertainment in abu dhabi, only shopping malls as entertainment
i.e Marina Mall, abu dhabi mall and al wahda mall there biggest mall then there are many small malls
taxis are run by pakistani pathans and they start at 2 diahmans and every km is 1 diahram
but now it is being privitasied and soon the fares will go up
it is best to have a car and an average a car will cost you 50-70K i.e camry is around 80K while nissan sunny is around 50K
Abu dhabi is becoming very expensive now, as there is inflation due to weak dollar
but you get the choicest of food and best. they are very particular about expiery dates of the food items
i think on a average for two of you in best living life you can spend around 1200 diahrams per month on food grocery and even if you plan to eat out
there are loads of indian restaurants here and loads and loads of indian people
i would say that if you share a flat and have a moderate living life you can live leisurely for 5000 diahrams per month - 5000 diahrams is like the best life to the maximum luxury

in oil and gas as what, HR is bad here, there is no proper hR practises in most companies, and even if they have the priority is for Arabs and Wester educated, infact ads when placed in paper always mention Arabs and wester educated, there is no free zone here, no there is no way u get any citizenship even if u stay here for 100 years

22K is a lump some pay. An engineer with 8+ years experience in Dubai itself gets the same amount. That too only for selected personnels. Its a new start.. All the best!
Let me put down some of my points for the Dubai wishers!
In labour levels, the people from other countries suffer a lot here. Even though their work is for 8 or more hours, they have to get ready very soon. Labours are given accomodation in labour camps and the PPS is the example to show their condition. They have to wait in queues from their brushing to bathing. Public transportation is also very poor here. Since almost all labours are working in construction sites, they find this as a problem. But the private buses from their companies take them to the sites. When in leisure, its a big trouble for them.
For professionals, a car is a need here. Its a basic need. Petrol cost is less here at approximately 12 to 17 Indian rupees per litre. So its better to own a car than to rent it. Food ranges from normal to expensive. But if cooked by self, it will not cost more. Rent for house is a big headache here and hence the situation of "dumping" men in rooms as shown in the PPS. Fresh Engineers are paid from 2K to 3K AED and others are paid according to their experience and profession. So, 22K AED is never less.

22K dirhams a month is reasonably a good salary. It works out to about approximately 2.3L per month, You need to take a complete house or aparment if you are moving as a family and it would cost roughly between 5K to 10K Dirhams depending on your budget.
Also salary would be tax free as you might already know. Plus most comapny's reimburse for medical and partly for education of kids. Plus some homemakeers take up jobs as school teachers etc, so you can probably try those also if interested.
So I personally believe it is a good offer and worth shifting. Also at 22K dirhams I am sure your husband is not at a labor level, would be supervisory or managerial level, so a good load of benefits should also be applicable.

ADNOC is a very good company, it is a state owned firm, plus the Oil and Gas company's are better than most in terms of facilities etc.
Also is the job location Abu Dhabi city or sites away from Abu Dhabi like Ruwais, Bab, Bhuhasa etc????
I have stayed in Ruwais and if there the comapany might allot a house for the family if the employee is sanctioned for family accomodation.
