Hope things are well in your end. Please clarify my doubts here. I have got offer in a company and now they have sent me the offer letter, though I am not 100% satisfied with my package. They have said it is not possible to provide more salary. I have to accept to it as I do not have any other offer and I got to resign from my current job desperately.
But I am trying to get another offer with my required salary package as well. So if I get one with my needed salary, I am planning to take that offer and decline the first offer. I do not want to burn a bridge with any employer. I am not a kind of person who bargains with different offer letters to different companies. But if I get my required salary I should be fine.
Now the questions I have are :
1) What will happen if I accept the offer and sign the offer letter (hard copy) and finally didn't join them? What will they do generally and worst case?
2) I have heard something like the company can report to NASSCOM if somebody didn't join them as they promised, is it true?
3) Your comments if any?
I am in much confused state now. Your guidance would be much appreciated.

I understand your query and dilemma. It is unethical to "accept" an offer and then declining it. Moreover, the company can sue you for damages including the cost of hiring.
However, if you want to wait for a better offer, then either you can wait till the 'last date' of the offer; or better still, not to "accept" it. If you are "not a kind of person who bargains with different offer letters to different companies." as you say, then you should not even think otherwise; because letting "greed" linger around you, will only erode your self-respect.

Yes I do not want to bargain with my companies with different offer letters and I am not doing it. But I am just looking for my best offer. The last day to accept my offer is today, failing which the offer will become obsolete. Thanks for your directions.
