Greetings everyone!

I work as a recruiter at a consultancy firm. I have got experience in this field for a year. I have worked on recruiting various technical and non-technical positions for the NBFC sector. I aim to gain work experience in other vital functions in HR rather than only recruitment. I am very unsure about how to go further. I would welcome any advice or suggestions from you all.

Thanks,
JP

Hi,

You need to look for HR Generalist profile ( end to end process) with some mid size organization.

You had already gained experience in sourcing and should try to gain knowledge in other areas under the supervision of some Superior.

You can try for a position in a manufacturing company, thereby you can acquire knowledge of other facets of HR. Working in a consultancy company and working in a manufacturing oompany are entirely different.

Hi! @Vmlakshminarayanan

Thank you for your reply. I would like to learn a couple of things if you may help.

1. Are there any specific skills that I can focus on before giving an interview for an HR General profile?

2. What is the standard industry remuneration for the role with an experience of 1-3 years?

Hi! @P RADHAKRISHNAN NAIR

Thank you for your kind advice.

I was fortunate to get into one of the reputed organisations in the battery manufacturing industry through college campus placements. I could not continue in that role due to severe health issues.

However, I will consider your advice for future opportunities. I am aware of the learning benefits in manufacturing industries for HR.

HI JP

Basically self-confidence about your skills and abilities, desire for learning new things supported with can-do attitude. You should be able to convince the prospective employer that you will be able to take up the assignment and can manage the show.

Remuneration depends on the employer. At this point of time please don't focus on salary part. Learning and opportunity for growth is important. Once you gain experience salary will not be a constraint.
