Hi all,
I feel the gift whether it is in form of cash or some memory making things should be equal to all irrespective of the positions.
Cash voucher is a good idea but the things makes the celebration memorable for longer.

As you have limited employees in your company , you can give the gifts according to their job position. ( senior level , middle level , junior level ) .
The gifts can include : cracker set , Dry Food box , fancy gift articles or else we can give some cash voucher also , so that they can purchase what they want .
If we purchase any of the item from one place we can get the cost deduction also .
If the budget is available it would have better to judge the planning for this celebration and can be given more suggestions.

Hi,
Since you said it's a small company you can plan your budget accordingly. This might be a good brand building exercise also.
1. company logo t-shirt
2. pack containing 2 small diyas and incense dhoop sticks
3. small pack of home made chocolates (healthy and tasty) that would serve as diwali sweets.
These things would not cost you much per employee and also they would feel elated receiving it on special occasion like this. Hope this works as a retention and loyalty strategy too. All the Best.

hie Deepali
I fail to understand the level of employees you are talking about so in general you can always go for mobile phones. they come in a varying range so you can choose the lower range handsets for middle or lower level employees as per your budget.

Instead of Cash or self development books, I suggest you gift them anything (based on your budget) that he can share it with the family.
The employee would feel proud to show it to his family where their family would also remember the Company and the gift, every time they use it.
Indirectly the family members also gets bonded to the organization.

Dear Deepali,
You can give out tupperware lunch kit as it is useful and employee will carry along everytime they come to office. They'll remember forever and cost is also not much.
