Are you asking about:
a) encashment of casual leave, which is remaining in an employee's credit at the end of the year
or
b) payment of wages while an employee is on casual leave (leave with wages)
May be specified, please.

Dear Jeyvenkat,
Although your query is not clear, for your information, please note that if CL is availed (in case of a credit balance) by any employee in a specific month, then it will be considered a paid day, and the said employee will be paid equivalent to a normal working day.
On the other hand, if an employee resigns from the services and CL is remaining in his/her Leave Account, then it will not be entitled to encashment. Only EL can be encashed at the time of FnF Settlement.
Please also note that CL/SL entitlement varies from state to state.
Hope you have received your reply. Cheers.

Dear Sir,
Casual leave is entitled for payment as per management policy every month for the leave availed. Generally, it is not accumulative to the next year, and at the year-end, it lapses automatically. Normally, casual leave is not encashable unless extended by the management. All these policies are applicable as per the management policy.

The casual leave can be granted to an employee on an exigency ground with or without pay. The Casual leave, if having a credit balance, shall be paid with pay along with salary. If not in credit, it will be treated as Leave without pay, i.e., Authorized absence. The CL cannot be encashed. It will get automatically lapsed if not availed in the year and cannot be carried forward. More than three days at a time are not permitted. A maximum of 8 to 12 days of Casual leave is permitted in a year by well-established organizations.
