Please note that the enhancement in ESI wage ceiling from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 21,000 has come into force with effect from 1st January 2017, vide notification No. 878 published in the official gazette on 22nd December 2016 (Extraordinary Part II Section 3 sub-section (1)). Also, please refer to ESI Headquarters Circular No. X-14/11/1/2015-P&D dated 27th December 2016. A copy of the Circular together with the notification is attached herewith.
