I think we are missing the acts here. As I have gone through with the ID act as well as the act governing the shops and establishment, as per my understanding conditions of appointment letter along with the provisions of the respective applicable act should be considered before taking any step against the desired results of retrechement.
As per shops and establishment act there is a provision of notice period of atleast one months for employees those who have served for atleast for three months.
So while going for retrenchment we need to keep an eye on the applicable act as well.
