I am fully agreeing with Mr.Chandru in his views. I also had a bad experience while working in a reputed namesake Nylon Company where the Chairman got inherited from his father, and though he used to ask the HR people to get the views of the employees, he always disagreed with the views. And in meetings he use to criticise the employees for their suggestions, These Bosses think just by paying the salary the employee are their slaves, I think for a Company to get the goodwill of the employees should be very professional and sympathetic towards the employees if they wish to retain them in their Organisation.

I believe that employees are our internal customers and if we can not satisfy them than how can we satisfy our external customers? As these employees are the ones who are representing whole organization to everyone. They are the ones who will spread word of mouth to the world. So satisfaction of employees is very important for every organization.

Very well said, vkokamthankar. Absolutely true. Its very easy to talk about your boss, but really difficult to be a boss. hehe.. :) Being an employee, its very difficult to think about how a boss think and why is he so arrogant at times in his attitude. Your thinking capabilities do change when are in that position. Its an excellent idea to know your working environment but not without the knowledge for your boss. B'coz he knw the previous and present situations better than the others. Atleast, he would have told you what to ask and what not to ask. Better way is to look out for a right time to talk abt feedback collected at different stages of problems that he may face in the future. Present urself in front of him as a solution finder and not as a problem creator. Now at least, at this early stage itself, you knw one part for your boss. Try to observe him further and find a right solution to get back the situation under control. Remember, the primary concern of any HR employee is to first meet his/her Boss' expectations. Likewise, every inside situation is different and so are their solution. Dont leave it but deal with it. Its very well said, "Learn from every situation of your life, even from the worst ones." This organization will serve u lot of Experience, & at the initial stage u will get many obstacle. But at the end u will find, your CEO will be close to your suggestions. Hence you have to do genuine work by winning the heart of your CEO & Employees too.
And thing i have personally pass by, don't try to get new place just take proper decision.
Make a transparency relation & if something goes wrong place proper evidence.

One of things that must be borne in mind prior to conducting a survey is to get a management buy-in. Meaning thereby one must be able to sell their decision to conduct a survey.
1) Aim of the survey (what are you trying to understand)
2) Whatever you are trying to understand is it really required to be understood ? Meaning do you think you have a business outcome which is bearing an impact.
3) Do you have enough resources to address the issue that potentially might come up?
4) Explain the ways you'd use the resources to fix the possible issues.
5) Finally, how this survey will benefit the company
6) After, employing the recommended fixes, show the management how things improved - Give them numbers % increase or decrease.
It is indeed very encouraging for your boss to know that you are motivated and willing to bring value to the HR operations. However it is important for him to know them beforehand. Before instituting change its important to manage the stakeholders who are part of it.
