yes its true that cheques do get rejected. This has happened only yesterday with me and for the second time. I am still to ascertain the exact reason for it, however, it has left a bad taste. I mean its my money and how can the department be so much callous in issuing cheques like this. I was issued 2 cheques and 1 got cleared and the other got rejected( on cheque return advice the reason given is- Kindly contact drawer/drawee bank and please sent again.) . What does it mean?? Who is at fault? I mean they issue 2 cheques and 1 gets cleared while the other is returned. Ridiculous!!! I will try to talk to the epf office and see what have to do next else, I will see them in court.
