Sudipto,
Form 16 will do the needful when you take a change. Nevertheless last two Salary slips are also required.
All the salary slips are not required in the new job. Also as mentioned by someone in the FORUM that there would be an experience letter given by the employer giving the detaisl of the your employment with the organisation. So do not worry on thoes accounts.

HR personnels are humans at the end of the day. Salary slips only confirm that fact, when you spot the mistakes in reference to your salsry credits.... Ha ha ha...

Dear All,
I faced this similar question at a company where I cleared all the technical rounds, but got bumped from HR when I was not able produce a salary slip.
The first problem is that my current company does not issue a salary slip (the company just won't do it forget negotiations with HR or anyone else, its the saying). I provided a salary slip but even that was not acceptable.
Secondly the person from the new company said that it is mandatory for a registered company to provide a salary slip. I have confirmed this with a legal professional that there is no such rule anywhere in the Indian Law. However the HR (pardon me *itch) kept on saying "No there are certain mandates for a registered company".
So what to do in this situation.

You might want to escalate the matter from the excutive level to a higher one in your current place of employment. And request them to provide the same for a simple reason that you need it for future reference or for filing purposes.
You may also want to provide your bank a/c statement which would reflect your salary credits, and that should be acceptable by the new company. If they do not, I would say, continue your job hunting. :)
After all you can only take the horse to the pond...

Hi,
As per compliance is concern, it is necessary to disburse the pay slip and keep proof of the same, if the employee(s) fall under workman, but in case of others it is not necessary to do the same, its just a breakup information (deduction) and for other use by the employees, if it is a computer generated. It can't solve the other purpose and need to get salary certificate. Form 16 will not solve the purpose of Salary proof, because its solve only salary part and not cover the cash part (by voucher) payment.
But salary certificate will solve all the purpose.

Hi, Salary slip is important, but you can find alternate options too for showing your salary. that can also work Like account statement. Try to ask from the salary slip from HR department.

Hi,
Salary slip is important.. definitely... Bt for future employment purpose, normally companies ask for payslip of last month or max to max last three months.
So if you hav not got slip for last two months its not a major issue as u hav already received it for this month.

Hi All,
It seems most of the people have no idea why the new company requires payslips, Please note the following:
a) Most of the times candidates tend to give incorrect amount as their previous salary and hence to verify the same.
b) Some times the new company feels that the candidate is overpaid and hence to verify the same.
c) The salary slips are requested to verify if the candidate has been working for the company or had been sub contracted cause generally when a verification happens the ex-firm confirms that the candidate is working there but they dont divulge information if he is a permenant employee or a sub contract.
Hope the above is clear.

AJ

hi Sudipto
All the tier 1 IT company ask for either bank statement or your salary slips and form 16.
But in some company they do not take candidates who get salary in hand, so try to get your salary in your account rather than in your hand (which i think is how you are receiving your salary, from what you have written)
Its just that they want to make sure the people they hire is genuine and are receiving the salary that they are claiming for.
