This topic is more relevant than ever. My practice in the last year of Sociological work with people implied writing my own research in the vein of a dissertation on work experience at different ages. This useful reference helped me a lot, since the main aspect of my research was taking two generations - people from 25 to 45 years old and their parents.

Today, work in one place for 10 years is not considered prestigious; 3 years is the maximum and desired term.

Hi Swerhat,

Thanks for sharing. It's a Herculean task to undertake a research work spanning generations, as you said, though it would be interesting. It may be a suitable topic for an apex institution/University of repute or an ILO/WHO to conduct such a study. Maybe if you scale it down to a micro level covering a few families and their generations, it is possible to do. I wonder if this has already been done; it would be interesting to search and share the findings for all to see.

I am an undergraduate student at the University of Northern Philippines completing a thesis proposal for my Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree entitled "WORK-LIFE BALANCE AND ACADEMIC MOTIVATION OF WORKING COLLEGE STUDENTS STUDYING IN THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTHERN PHILIPPINES". I am writing to ask for permission to use your Academic Motivation Scale (AMS) in my research. The said instrument will gather the needed data for me to assess the level of academic motivation of working college students in the university.

I would also appreciate receiving copies of supplemental materials that will help me to administer the test and analyze the results, specifically:

1. Reliability and Validity of the Test

2. A norm for interpretation.

Lastly, I would like to use and print the instrument under the following conditions:

1. I will only use the AMS for my research study and will not sell or use it for any compensation or curriculum development activities.

2. I will include a statement of attribution and copyright on all copies of the instrument. If you have a specific attribution statement that you would like me to include, please provide it in your response.

3. At your request, I will send a copy of my completed research to you upon completion or provide a hyperlink to the final manuscript.

If these are acceptable terms and conditions, please indicate so by replying to me through email: cyrelanyog04@gmail.com.

Your consideration and positive response are sincerely acknowledged in the fulfillment of this academic endeavor.

Thank you very much, and more power.

Sincerely,

Jan Cyrel Anyog
