Dear Mr. Ramesh,

It is correct that while uploading the text file, KYC scan document is not required to be uploaded. It is necessary to prepare the file with a name that matches the KYC document and have it ready with the proper formatting.

Thanks,
Bhat

Dear all,

The Excel format has to be a macro-enabled format designed as per the guidance of the Correct Method guidelines given on the EPFO website. Once we convert the Excel file into a .txt format, it should be in a format (a sample screenshot is also provided on the EPFO website). Can anyone upload a Macro Enabled Excel file?

The Excel format which is given by me, is only for the purpose of / helping in gathering the KYC and not for upload or converting in to text file for upload.

But then why have they mentioned scanned documents screenshot in correct methods' PDF file? I'm not clear whether we have to scan the documents to create a zip file or not. Please, sir, reply to this question.

Thank you.

Dear Mr. Ramesh,

The scanned document is only to be preserved with the employer as per the naming procedure. Presently, the PF Department has asked to upload the file as per the KYC document. Afterwards, the same is to be linked with KYC scanned documents along with the employer's digital signature.

Thanks,
Bhat

Dear,

Just now, I uploaded a text file, but it was encountering some errors (Err 023). The line does not adhere to the UAN KYC format (13 Fields separated by #~# not found) on line number 1. However, I am unable to locate this error.

Dear Mr. Praveen,

The PF office has changed the file format from 7 to 13 fields. Please prepare a fresh file with 13 fields. Members whose Date of Joining (DOJ), Date of Birth (DOB), or Middle Name is available will be included in the PDF file for approval. All others will be listed in the missing details file. Kindly update the missing details, generate the PDF, and upload it.

A revised user manual is attached for your reference.

Thanks & Regards,
Bhat
