I represent AMS Inform. AMS Inform is a background screening company, and we also run www.vinform.com. We receive copies of fake degrees on our vinform portal on a daily basis. There is very little that you, as an individual, can do if someone has submitted forged documentation.

The concept behind background screening is to filter out such candidates. The action being asked is extreme and could only be taken by filing a proper complaint with the authorities with the right jurisdiction.

In the case of an organization, a company can only confront the employee with the fake documents and provide a suitable amount of proof, such as written responses from the university, to prove and then take legal action.

Even a university can take legal action if they want to against this person, but the university needs to confirm that the documents were fake, and intent needs to be there in order to proceed.

Some universities, such as the University of Kerala, take this very seriously and at times.

Dear Moderators,

This post did not serve its purpose. My attempt to eliminate an evil practice (even to some extent) is wasted. Looks like it is not possible. The FAKE candidates are living life to the hilt, and they will continue to do so. I gave all the information/details I had in order to help take some action, and I trusted this place. I was thinking this site to be a genuine place with all senior HRs from reputed companies. However, it looks like just another general forum discussion. People just comment and leave. With all due respect, I am not saying anything against any of the members; I am just disappointed to know that HRs ignore this evil act by just stating that "it happens everywhere."

I do not want any fake candidate reading this post and making fun of me. This is an insult. I kindly request you to delete this entire post unless somebody thinks he/she can take prompt action.

Again, I respect all the members/posters in this forum, and my motive was to help catch the culprit who, in turn, could have opened a can of worms. A FAKE racket. Never worked in two years but have fake certificates to work for MNCs. How could you guys let this happen.

Regards
