A fresher joined our company 3 months ago. Initially, he was performing well in terms of work, punctuality, and attitude. However, for the past month, he has been frequently taking excessive leave, arriving late, and his performance has also deteriorated. In addition, his parents have been contacting me and my director to inquire whether he has been coming to the office. Our management has decided to let him go after a 1-month notice period. I would appreciate your assistance in handling such employees.

Dear Aditi,

You have made an attempt to provide a draft of the termination letter. Nevertheless, official communication in general, and letters related to employee discipline, in particular, must have a formal tone. However, one finds that the draft is a mixture of formal and informal tones. It appears that, because of the influence of social media, in a few places, the message is personalized as well.

I know this is too late to reply to your thread.

It is your mistake that you did not inform your management about your sudden leave.

Please note that in such cases, use your appointment letter (if rules regarding termination are included) as your key to gain entry to the office.
