Friends,
Then the conclusion makes me believe that most of you will recruit Mr. X if he is there at your place for an interview.
"Rolling stone gathers no mass" - this proverb is to show how it affects an individual's career.
"Too many rolling stones will make the company lose its mass... (and who is the company, it's all of us in there)."
It will not work out, friends... This is my personal opinion.
I personally believe, as far as we are learning, growing, and helping the organization grow, we are always on the right track provided the pay is moderate and the company is treating us well.
As one of our friends said, though money is not everything, sometimes money does matter (by luck and Mr. X turned out to be lucky), and life is not always based on luck. We all know that.

Sharmila, good post.
I hope everyone would think of India as their family and would work for the country just like they do for their family. Somewhere 'me' and 'I' are coming first, which I totally disagree with.
An advice to all: How would you like your employees to work for the company if you were the CEO and the exclusive owner of a company?
