Having applied for leave and sanctioned upto 26 DEcember, his last day normally will be that date only. However if you are considering to regularise his absence upto 19 January on medical gorunds then that will be his last day of service. I feel in any case teh date on which started his holdiays cannot be treated as hte alsproceeded on leave cannot be treated as last day.
