If you are really sure you that have checked your leave policy and you did not find any helpful informatiojn then I would advise that you to write to the HR with the same sentiments and I believe their reply will throw more light on your problem . This will help you to move the discusiion further or just enable you to understand thier position

Hema,
HR people shall obviously have not personal interest in deducting your salary against the leaves availed by you. It is good that you have gone thorugh the policies, but still you must discuss with the payroll / HR people about the same. You have full right to do this background check and if it is a mistake, surely, the deducted days shall be reimbursed to you next month.
In the nutshell.. Don Panic!!!!
A piece of advice - "complaning" sounds unprofessional . You can discuss and solve the problem with the concerned person.

Hi Hema,
First i want to make it clear, whether the leave taken by you on 6th and 7th was informed to ur reporting Manager and the leaves taken on 2 - 5 was approved. If those two days leave was not informed to ur TL, then there might be a reason of deducting the salary. But like everyone said it varies according to the individual company leave policies. Get it cleared with the HR Department and proceed.
Good Luck.

Dear Hema
it is a viewed generally that if u r getting the leave from a particular day either it is a holiday or a working day which is declared as holiday even by company. the leave will be counted from the day u r not presented in company and upto the day before the day u rejoin that
but in ur case and after getting the deeply answer with other employer and HR also i came into knowledge that the payment can not be deducted for the day where from u r taking leave which is a holiday for the company.
so it is now i can say that the company can not deduct ur salary for u on saturday and sunday (which from u taken the leave and the last two days u joined after.
