Hi Harshal,
One game to improve team bonding can be done is
1. Let the employees form buddy pairs in the begining of the month.
2. They will agree upon improving the opportunities in their behaviour, work and general aspects.
3. They will rate each other on the set parameters for their experience for the period.
4. In the last week of the month the low scorers of the group will poll for the winners (Maximum points winners) in the group.
5. The person getting maximum points is the ambassador of the month.
You can award him as best buddy as he is assumed to have all the ideal qualities to deserve to be the best buddy of the dept/company/unit.
Benefits.
1. The culture will improve as people will try to improve on behavioural patterns to get maximum points.
2. The quality of work being one of the parameter will also improve.
3. A strong team bonding will be observed amongst the employees.
4. A learning environment will be observed in the company.
Pl post your comments to my suggestion friends............may be i can also improve on my ideas.
Best Regards
Samir Kulkarni.

Hi Harshal,
Always you have to choose the buddy before the New Joiner joins the organisation. Its always better to get in touch with the BU Head and confirm who can be the Buddy.
Also after the confirmations, send out a email to the chosen Buddy copying to BU Head that you have been chosen as the Buddy to the New joiner joining in your team.
Also there are set of defined responsibilities for the Buddy or Anchor. After the New joiner joins, HR has to introduce the New joiner to the Buddy. Later Buddy will introduce the new joiner to each and every team member and their contribution to the team. Also buddy has to show the cubicle, show the cafteria, buddy should also take the new joiner for tra breaks, lunch etc, where what is available, whom to contact in case of any problems etc.
After a month ask the new joiner how was his buddy, what is the feedback and of the feedback is good, may be a gift voucher from shopper stop can be given thanking the buddy, which will motivate him.
This will help the new joiner to settle down with the team and the organisation comfortably.
Hope these detail will help you out.

Hi Harshal,
The plc whr i did my summer internship was a MNC nd they too had Buddy programme going for them.
In their buddy programme, the immediate superiors were to be te buddies...it was kind of informal, frank orientation. The buddy had to take the subordinate for the lunch or dinner(@ co.'s expense, of course). They also had mentorship in the co. Any one senior member of the co. could be a mentor of a new joinee, whether the same team or not (but preferably the same team)....but that mentor had to help and guide the joinee through-out. The average period for the joinee to be comfy in the company was 2 months....so max the mentor had to spend time wt joinee was 2 or max 3 months...thn both were free to go on their own way...
So i hope this will help u in some way....

buddy should be predesignated and performance should be matched to his/her KRA. they should take care of the new joinee from the very 1st day. basically the new joinees first friend in the organisation who would help the new joinee from getting him his desktop, to lunch coupons and also helping him get his goal sheet done
Hi Harshal,
I am agree with Niki that buddy will be Brand ambassador of the company to new Joinee.I think one team member, who can act as mentor as well buddy will be the right person. He/She can help Joinee to tell about the project & work as well about genral Facilities.
Thanks
