Dear Kamalsolkar,
If any employee present on either Saturday or Monday, then Sunday is payable. But if the employee is on leave for both Saturday and Monday, then only he will be not entitled to get benefit of the Sunday.
In your situation, he should be paid for Sunday.

Dear kamalsolkar,
The rule generally followed in most of the companies in case of a casual leave is
- if a worker is present on the day either before or after the holiday, he is paid for Sunday/holiday but if the worker is absent on both the days, that is , prior to and after the holiday,he is not paid for the holiday.

HiI am not agree with your views if some one is working on sunday and taking off on Monday why he is not eligible for Sunday’s salary.

Hi I am totally agree with your views................... if some one is on long leave and in between Sunday comes then he / she is not eligible for payment but if she / he is on paid leave then he is eligible for payment...........

Yes sunday is payable..
If employee present on Saturday and absent on Monday..sunday is payable
and if employee absent on Saturday and present on Monday..sunday is payable..
If both saturday and monday is absent then sunday is not payable..
50% attendance is compulsory in a week, then after sunday will be payable.

dear, in that case sunday is payble because weekly off means after six days give as a rest day with salary. it is depend on previos days came or not? no relation with monday which start as next week.

dear ,
in this case no relation with monday as it belongs to the next week. after six working days one day gives as rest day with full salary. we should consider weather the previous day he came or not? and satur day is present and we should give him weekly off on sunday.

Hi,
If weekly off comes between two absent or between leave period (e.g. saturday absent - sunday weekly off- monday absent )then it will not payable, otherwise it is payable.

Hi,
I think that if there is a provision of compensatory off in you company then his leave on monday is under compensatory off.
Any person working on weekly off [only sunday no saturday] or paid holidays [govt holidays] then he is eligible to take a compensatory off on any working day.
If compensatory off of not there in your company then the sunday working is payable but again if he has taken a leave on monday then no. of working days will automatically adjusted.
Hope this would have cleared your doubt.
Regards,
Neeta.
