dear trupti
greetings
if the faculty has given u a choice to select a project on h r of your own, it is all the more better and interesting.
i suggest, as a senior student of h r profession, to pick up any topic which is of interest to you. start working on it and the project is commenced.
please feel free to seek clarification, at all times.
best wishes

My suggestion is that consider doing a project concerning PEOPLE who have lost jobs in recent turmoil. Project could be - What all is needed to get them an alternative job in shortest possible time? Let me know if you get stuck.

Please search CiteHr where some projects are attached. Then do a literature survey and formulate your aim and objectives for the research (in consultation with the host organisation). You also need a conceptual framework for that. Decide what hypotheses you want to test.
If you have not done any of the above essential preparation for conducting a project, I would advise you to please do so and then pose a precise question.
Please see my post on Research Methodology (Ppt slides attached) at https://www.citehr.com/106849-research-projects.html and Author Workshops at https://www.citehr.com/105093-publishing-international-journals.html <link updated to site home> ( Search On Cite | Search On Google ) and my post at <link no longer exists - removed>
I am not sure if you have read any literature on questionnaire design. If not, go to questionnaire design + guidelines - Google Search= Also see http://citehr.com <link updated to site home> where an MBA project is attached as an example.
A Post by Prodcons also has information on Research Methodology.
Also view and digest the message that ahujamamamia posted at citehr https://www.citehr.com/169377-marble-story.html Try to become the marble statue rather than the tile.

Hey Trupti.....Its Pratyush here, Judging by your Requirements, ie-Project on Current Scenarios, you can take up some Project on "HR Policies During Recession Times"......
this topic would portray the current market Scenario and would also distinguish your Project from other traditional Projects on Recruitment & Selection,Training & Development,Performance appraisal.............
Just a Suggestion cuz Im Not an HR Guy neways.........More into marketing n stuff........Do lemme noe if you need ne other help.......

Dear Trupti,
Having gone through your requirement and the help extended by members I felt a bit soem thing important which was supposed to be higllighted was missing ( though I did not go through all responses ).
1. What is the purpose of doing a project ??
2. Are your not lucky enough, ( not been given a topic ) to have infinate topics or the topics you like most, can have priorities even and at last can do some good project un attended, ( Not been touched by any enumerator or atleast challenging ) there by working exclusively on a PROJECT and presenting concrete analysis which in turn benefits to society, yourself, your college, the organisation where you will be doing the PROJECT, fellow students and following batches or students and particularly under LIMITATIONS OF THE PROJECT you can highlight the areas not been attended by your project and hence some one else can work on that particular area.
3. Doing a project at this hour is like final preparation for exam at last hours, concern lies only to qualify the exam.
4. Can choose a topic as suggested by respondents.
5. As a project guide (from organisation side ), out of approx. 35 students only 3 have done genuine project.
5. Sorry for being harsh, but was straight forward
