HI ALL,
1. When a person joins a new company he can transfer his ESIC no to new establishments also along with PF. we are having this practise and doing the same for a long time. His no will remain the same. The new company has to give the intimation to the ESIC dept along with the original I-card (ESIC) issued by ESIC authority. You will be required to put the Address stamp & ESIC code stamp of new company on the Card.
2. There are 2 contribution periods in a year, i.e. April to September & October to March. if say you got increment in the month of May of the same year and your gross increases over 10000 you contribution for the said contribution period (april - sep) will continue and from Oct you will not be required to contribute to the fund. once your contribution is started on any contribution period, you have to contribute unless the period completes.

Hi Sushma,
This is optional.
No need to registred again in the ESIC, but you have to get transfer from previous employer or authority.
There is a form no.100 for transfer the ESI no. & it will be only available at ESI office but you have to fill up fresh decelaration form for present employer.

Hi all
I just want to give some input abt the ESI code.
If ESI member change his/her job in same area of local ESI office than
he/she doesn't need to apply for fresh no.
He need to change only owner name in his/her present ESI no.

Hi Arachana,
In case of PF one can withdraw his PF after 60 days from reliveing date, or he can transfer his PF account to his next organisation .
But In case of ESI one has to creat his new account when he will join his new organisation.

Dear All,
While joining with the new organisation, the PF number has to be alloted afresh, but as far as the ESI number is concerned the old ESI number holds good and the same is valid even with the new organisation.

Dear Archana,
What Amit has stated is correct. As there are two cycles - April to September and October to March, hence when a person gets an increment and crosses the Rs. 10,000/- salary, he or she will get out of the preview of ESI only after completion of the cycle.
