Hi Manisha. In my opinion, its better for you to perform your job with utmost sincerity and wait for some more time.. i know its gonna be the most painful situation for you..but i believe that one day your work will be recognised by Management if u are a real performer. Its actually not advisable to take any stringent step as of now as recession has badly hit HR jobs also.
Also keep yourself updated & try searching other opportunity. Once u get the offer letter, u can express your distress with the management. In case u get postive response, leaving or continuing this job willl be at ur discreation. Dont forget to convey this issue during ur exit interview in case u quit ur job.
Best Regards!

Hi,
Even I am facing the same situation. I agree with you Piyush but when you join a new company than you are new to the people and system as well, you do not know who is what and who is where actually so you dont know the powers that your supervisor has.
Dont know how to manage

Even i am in somewhat a same situation as my boss took all the credit of my work as well as spoiled my image in front of my V.P so i would suggest that if you love your job and if this is your necessity then just do your work as i have almost lost my job because of fighting against this so be calm and handle the situation in a cool way. I understand it is not an easy task but loosing you job is even worse but the silver lining is i have another job and this learning will remain with me throughout:-P

I have a different opinion on this issue according to me one should not feel bad about all these coz in the present scenario it is expected everywhere. So we should keep doing hard work and i blv the day will def come when management and even colleagues of your comapny come to know what potential you have in urself.

Hi there,

Avoid giving your ideas in words or in writing or in ppt or in .doc format rather convert it into .pdf with restricting rights to copy and print and edit...

Try carry ur signature in all the pages of your presentation in pdf. Make it as your format. Create a log file for all your ideas and presentation that you forward.

Capitalize the ciritial deadlines and implement this and continue with the same.

Select few from the staff and try to get a glimpse of the happenings in their depts so that you would get a better clue abt the new things in streamline... so u would get lot of ideas than sitting in a Mgmnt meeting, after all we work depending on the other depts needs and human and technological needs....

In the mean while try to have a friendly smile on your face as u happen to see the mgmnt people during office hours and during parties and outings.

Try to initiate a Mgmnt Personality development programme and as u formulate the agenda and take it over.. u would surely get into their sight...

All the best...

Thank you all for your valuable comments..will surely take up this way.

Based on Priya's suggestion what i want to add is that... she just sits next to me and ask me just do it ASAP on ecel or word. I cannot do the work on pdf because pdf converter is not installed nor would the management/ or she would allow me to do so. This right is given to Manager and above only.

Also whenever i add my signature to any task... she immediately deletes my signature and puts her onto it and forwards...

Now no one other than her would know that the task was done by me :(

This way it is pretty difficult to come to office everyday. Apart from work for many extra curriculum activities like - newsletter the entire proofreading is done by me but it goes in her name.

Another important concern is that for any HRD related mails send to the management, she never keeps me on copy... when i asked her she said she always forgets to do that.
Now she has adopted a better option..... (mine is a korean company and she is well-versed with the language) our management people being koreans, she sent all the mails in Korean language... now she have a valid point of not adding me in CC. After any training, the entire evaluation is conducted by me with the findings, but she sends it from her end...

I am also plannig to give this scenario some time, me being new to this organisation do not have much voice... let me give 2-3 months more.. if things are the same i may go and speak to the DIrector HR once and raise my concerns.

What is your opinion on this

Also i have organised a training session on personality development in the first month of my joining. But the worse part was the entire module was created by me... as usual she took it to the management as her work. Came back asked me to prepare for the training. On the day of the training she told me she would take the training and i wud only coordinate for the games i have planned. I got really upset and told her.. where she said "We are going too fast" you must take some more time. Even during the training i was given very less topic to take....
As Priya said, i have laready taken such sessions in the intention of coming on the limelight but nothing worked out that way as well :(

Newsletter after proof reading? would it be in .doc format?

Hi there,
In the mean while, try to be friendly with her. Do not confront with her for what she has done and she is doing... Then during her absence (certainly she would be taking offs) you can have some very good plans to project your calibre... Try to do different things through her so that we would not want you to loose you but to gain with you but dont even give the complete concept and methodology and as she face the mgmnt she would not do it well and try to do the same thing next time and out perform her..... If nothing is working out, take this as a good lesson not to be like her as a Manager.
All the best.
Best Regards,
Priya
