How important is acknowledgment from the employee who is receiving the final settlement to an Employer/Organisation. Can it be deposited directly to his bank account without obtaining an authorisation letter from him/her, or should the employee collect the same in person from Finance dept or should the cheque/DD be posted throu courier.
What is an acceptable norm for releasing final dues to employee.

Typical example .. pls give ur verdict jusfiably on this.
An employee working in a private organisation gets his gratuity after completion of 58 years aghe sas per company proceedure and insurance [policy of gratuity to employees.
But he will be continued with regular salary increments promotions epf recocery as usual up to age of 70 yeats.
Now after 70 yrs he has been retired by issuing an order of retirement.
He has been settled PF,Leave encashment,but not paid grsatuity on the pretext that he has been paid already at retirement/super annuation .
Whether he is eligible for gratuity till date of his retirement or not when he has been treated as regular employee all along.
If at all gratuity tobe paiod how it is to be calculated
