Hello HRDMumbai2012,
All your points are very much valid except your statement regarding the NET PAY in words. Even in my payslip which is autogenerated pdf one, it is only in figures. I asked the same to my HR Manager and I got a reply that in India, there is no law to specify the format of the payslip. So I think, no need to consider that.

Hi Jaffer,
Firslty you have not given the full information as to is there were information about the candidate i.e. designation, working days, etc and also the company name.
If there are information that you can simply contact the HR person of that company and verify the details.

Hello Jaffershere,
As I was going through the salary slip, I found following faults;
1. No company name + address
2. Basic is generally the 40 % of CTC
3. HRA is 50% of Basic
4. Insurance can't be on both the sides of the slip
5. No P.F no, Employee code, department name, employee name, DOJ etc.
In mY view, it is absolutely fake. You call the concerned employee and ask him the salary components mentioned in the attachment. Apparently, youcan directly rtalk to the HR of the company after dicussing with him.
Many Thanks & Regards,

There is a hindi song pehchan jhooti hai.........in today's employment arena many statements are false mentioned on the resume itself, everybody knows it, the interviewer and the candidate, then the candidate comes in interview attends the technical and personal questionnaire of interviewer. Technical means say candidate A is from Finance does he know about Finance Duties and Responsibilities e.g, LC.BANKING, CUSTOMS etc. The interviewer selects him on the basis of these info........then come personal questions what is your expectation what you are getting etc etc......here he starts giving false info and gets involved in all such falsification..........so if the guy cleared his interview it means he is selected on the basis of his talents so better chill out congratulate your firm for selecting a talented guy and if there are some small professional falsification ignore it and GO AHEAD in life.............my suggestion!

On the basis of the excel sheet it is difficult to understand that the salary slip is fake. Ask employee to submit the offer letter or the salary slip of the last three months with the authorized signature of the HR or Director or ask for the bank statement.

Dear Jaffer
The payslip is not looking like to be fake, As the basic for PF is 6500 there is no need to deduct pf & in case of insurance also the company might opted out for some life insurance plan. so these all doesn't matter a lot. if u need confirmation u can contact that previous company for verification of the same.

If the objective is to establish the correctness of the payslip, please see if it has been signed by some competent authority of the company. Secondly ask the individual to get a certifiacte of the Last Pay Drawn from the previous employer.

Hi,
I checked the payslip and I believe you have cut the breakup part and pasted that in an Excel sheet. We can verify the payslip only by the calculations and the deductions part. If you see the IT on a lesser side, ask the candidate what all he/she has declared. You are not suppose to give the candidate the point for what you are asking this for.
In the attached pay slip, the insurance come in earnings and deduction side. That is highly not possible. Again if you really want to verify a candidates salary, you can ask for Form 16, if the candidate is more than 1 year experienced. On the other hand, a bank statement will do. Verification on the same before the candidate's offer is not recommended.

Hi Jafer, At first galnce pay slip seems fake but it would be better to ask the candidate to submit the bank statement of six months and attested payslip by HR of atleast 2 months. Regards Man Mohan

Hellow...
Simple it is... You tell this employee that he should bring the slip with the company seal or it should be on the letter head of the company concerned.
Thats all...matter is over.... if it is duplicate he run away from you and if it is true he always comes with your requirement.
thanks - ramani -
