Hi All, I work in a startup, and I am the only HR here. Currently, I am designing the performance appraisal process. We are an IT Services company. I need some guidance. As per my understanding, I have come up with below pointers for the process -

1. Appraisal review period - Jan to Dec
2. Increment / Promotion will be effective on April 1st as we need to wait until March's end to check the company's financial situation.
3. The appraisal process can start in January month so that we get enough time to complete and review.
4. The problem is with new joiners. How do we come to a fair conclusion with their eligibility for the annual appraisal?
5. I have also suggested biannual appraisals wherein only feedback to be shared by the manager. Only performance review to be done and goal setting for next 6 months.

Please guide me on this.
