I agree with Asha,
Mr Sanjeev from your profile you look mature and since you are a HR Manager, you yourself are in a better position to access the situation. With due respect to you I address you as Sir,
What Simhan Sir wants to convey is to develop this ability of searching and getting information independently in members of this cite. Which is really a good initiative, instead of appreciating, or even if you dont appreciate you could just have kept quiet. But seems here you just are too adament on this point like a little child crying for chocolate, and arguing with not one but two members as if you are hell bent that what you have posted is correct.
And the rules of this cite, doesnt permit personal attacks on any member, and you are requested to put your views in a simple and sweet manner, but what I find is your attitude is too arrogant, which is bad hence kindly make it a point to improve this.
Have a nice day, evening, night, morning.

I am neither competent neither feel the need to say anything mediator-like on the context. However, I have a few submissions.

1. The calls for help on generic projects, so far as these are for summer and other such project, seems to be symptomatic of the unfulfilled need for basic guidance and counseling for students and apprentices of HRM. This I would maintain without any effort at judging whether a particular member with such a post did his/ her legitimate bit of research or not

2. It seems that the oft-posted call for help on generic projects may have its own value to add to citehr. With a bit of initial hand-holding the result/ project that members come up with may be of reasonable value to the cite and other members.

3. I feel that a major strength of cirehr is that it provides scope for members to express themselves freely as well as stimulates serious intellectual discussions. Therefore, could it be that such posts can be given their own and seperate space in the cite? Could we have counselor like roles for this assigned to a group of members willing to help-out. There could be other solutions too that can be "win-all"

To conclude, I feel sad that such undesirable had to happen, however, might be time for us to take our bit of learning from this and move on

At a lighter note Nash Sir does remind me of Prof. Dumbledore at times, and this I mean in a warm and humble way

Dear Surya,
Thanks for the contribution. You are correct when you say students who ask do not have good guides. However, that does not mean they do not know how to search the web. By the time they reach the project stage, they will have worked on their assignments; hence, they know how to access the web.
Coming to your last point, I did not know who Prof. Dumbledore was. Hence, I searched the web and found out at HPL: Albus Dumbledore
I wish I could live as long as he did, so that I could serve more students. However, I do not resemble him in physical appearance. On a lighter note, I wish I had as much hair as he has been shown to have.
I would like to know what character or approach of mine is similar to his, as I have not seen Harry Potter's movies.
Have a nice day.

oops, quite heated up !!! Good, sometimes people give vent to their feelings, and also good to see how a person defends and how a moderator jumps in...
Its all a part of growing up and everyone needs to learn playing all the roles !
Interesting !

Dear Mr.Simhan,
Prof.Dumbledore is serious but he does everything good to be done for students/Institution,he does not come across as a friendly ,jovial teacher but can crack a joke or two or can hint at things to be done in private with students/colleagues whom he likes ,overall a highly respected school head who knows what is to be done and how to be done.
I like all the characters in HP series and so don't mind remembering them and writing...

It seems that controversy is the sure shot way of being in the top 10 posts of the week ! :)

For me Prof. Dumbledore: apparently venerable, a keeper of the secrets, apparently a strict disciplinarian but surprisingly playful at times, guide and godfather like for kids who may grow to dislike his ways but trusted as a protector against forces of the dark
My intention is not to say that Mr. Nash and Dubledore are same, but that there seems to be a certain likeness, to appreciate my comments one needs to read a Potter book and may be do a transactional analysis for self?
Regarding searching the web and other readily available resources, yes this may be desirable to maintain certain standards in terms of the posts, but could it be that by not doing the search first, the members asking for help are perhaps showing how they value this site and the resourcefulness of the members? could that be a good thing if its ok with other members?
