Your line--'Everybody who is incapable of learning has taken to teaching.......' reminds me of a Quote by Mark Twain:
Those who can, 'do'. Those who can't, 'teach'.
No pun intended to those who are in the teaching profession pl :-)

The last two posts remind me of my friend's saying: "Those you can't manage, become management teachers; and those who can't teach become teacher trainers". I moved to academia after a long stint in the industry, after gaining postgraduate degrees while working. Now after retirement, I am helping out on CiteHR. I do not know to what category I belong. Would like to think I am exception to the sayings.

Same here Mr Akhilesh, I also have completed 5 years with CiteHR last month (July 22,2014 /5 years 0 months 24 days till today).

Hello to All “Wishing you a very Happy Independence Day (68th Anniversary)”

Well I also would like to share myself a bit today about my 5 years of Journey with Cite Community. CiteHR has always been a TEACHER for me and I always tried to be a good student, so that, I can learn as much as I can, that helped me a lot by many ways in my professional life during my journey with CiteHR. This is actually a journey filled with knowledge, sharing, guidance/suggestion to be a good professional and help in learning to be a good STUDENT always.

I found CiteHR always helpful with vast knowledge, practical shared experiences, day to day issues, discussions and suggestions by members and experts. Also CiteHR gave me many good friends, good professional contacts, great opportunity to learn from the esteem experts and professionals that make me feel really blessed. CiteHR is like a family to me actually.

I wish to express sincere gratitude to Ms (Cite Contribution) and Mr Simhan first for their appreciations, guidance, knowledge sharing and experience that I have earned by reading their responses/post as well from other experts and senior members like Mr Tajsateesh, Mr Raj Kumar Hansdah.

Thanks you all once again for providing me a great opportunity to connect with you and to CHR for providing us a great knowledgebase professional place.

Congratulations Mr.Akhilesh,
I hope the journey will remain continued............
I have also completed 6 years with his forum and found its a sea of knowledge for HR personnel.
I joined this forum on 22nd Jan 2008 when one of my friend from coca cola company informed me about this forum. That time I was working as an Executive Hr & Admin. Now I am working as a Assistant Manager -HRD
I can proudly say they the citeHR forum is also a part of my success.
It's my 7th year in this forum & will keep continued.......

CONGRATS Akhilesh Dubey, Anil Arora & Arun J.

@ Anil Arora--Thank you for your compliments.....but it only goes to prove all over again & again that once when one begins to 'share' [be it happiness, knowledge, smiles or just about anything], it always has the habit of coming back to us.

I recollect a point-of -time when you wanted to keep off from this Forum.....I guess you surely have no regrets for reaching this Milestone :-)

Like the Bible says: "As you Sow, so you Reap". And all of us together share a common aspect: we decided to share our knowledge & experiences with others, so that others may learn from our's AND got back more of experiences & knowledge, without having to undergo the associated pains and/or efforts. And as far as I can see, this common trait of 'sharing' amongst CiteHR members IS NOT dependent on reciprocity from the recipient of our sharing. If someone reciprocates our attitude of 'sharing', well & fine. If he/she doesn't, it still is well & fine......it would be that individual's loss, not ours.

Hope this continues for aeons to come.
