In my opinion, Hindi is a very very easy language to learn. Gud thing is u already know written format. Only thing u required is shudder ur shyness and start speech practice. since u said u dont hv any hindi known friends, watch hindi programmes/movies in TV and try to think, speak urself in hindi. I too had same willingness.
If you want to learn hindi, take an oath and fix a target to learn from any mode. Or else, be a beggar in our North India for 6 months. Then you will learn.
I followed the first one and learnt hindi.
There are no options apart from that.

Here is what you should do.
1. Ask someone to write important phrases in Hindi and their equivalent meaning using script that you can read. Learn correct pronunciation of each sentence (like "Mujjhe bahut bukh lagi hai" - I am very hungry., Mera kam ab khatam ho gaya hai - My work is now finished. etc.). Keep that paper handy at all times and use that often whenever situation requires with hindi speaking persons that you interact. After a just week or two - you will memorize the main sentences and be able to deal with some combination of hindi and your native/english language with hindi speakers. Using this methods, I have managed in places like China, Japan, Korea etc working with natives. I can pretty much travel and shop around in deep interiors of these countries (keep a phone number of a Hindi speaker ready and call him when it gets too tough for you to handle. remember you can barely understand what other will say to you. Native speak with different tones using vocabulary that barely makes sense to you. But most people like to help - learn to say "Mujjhe Hindi kam aati hai" - I know very little Hindi.). You will be surprised how people will try to use very simple words with you
2. Once you feel comfortable with above - you will realize that you can add now some variations to above at your own without much help from others.
3. Once you can speak a little bit and have a good comfort zone then take a proper Hindi Classes that will teach you how to read and write Hindi and speak properly without your native tone.

Do I decided to watch Hindi movies as well to listen FM in Hindi like.I will see and sure I will share my next words to U all in Hindi.
