Hi,
I am currently in US and I am an Indian. There is a seller of a goods in US and I helped him identify a buyer in India. I might get paid some commission for it. I would have to share it with my friend in India who helped identify the buyer.
Will it be better if I start a private limited company or partnership to get the commission paid or should I ask for it to be paid to my name?
I was thinking that from the tax perspective it would help to be paid a private limited company that I start rather than being paid to me as an individual.
Please suggest on what would be the best option. Also would partnership be better in this case rather than private limited?
Thanks.

Hi Howruhari,
It would be better to get the commission paid in your own name than a <link outdated-removed> ( Search On Cite | Search On Google ) , in case of a <link outdated-removed> ( Search On Cite | Search On Google ) , you would have to <link outdated-removed> ( Search On Cite | Search On Google ) and maintain it regularly. On the other hand, if you get the commission in your name, you can just show that one time income in your tax filings.
Usually tax rates are lower for partnership/proprietorship than <link outdated-removed> ( Search On Cite | Search On Google ) , so I would suggest you just get it in your personal name.
