Hi all, In my organization, we ask employees for an original fitness medical certificate as a part of documentation formalities. I wanted to understand if is it okay if he/she submits a photocopy of the same and not the original certificate.
Thank you,

Hi,
Where ever possible submission of original fitness medical certificate will be good. However if the employee is keen on retaining the original certificate, you may accept the Xerox copy of the same after verifying the original.

Hello,
Yes, for the Record you can accept the self attested Xerox copy after verifying the original copy.
Actually original papers are usually clearly superior to their copies in many respects that's why companies demand original papers.

If the report is a pre-employment medical fitness certificate, insist for original one. Even, while continuing in employment, after availing sick leave, medical fitness certificate in original, need to be deposited with the company alongwith sick leave application.
