Hi team, I was working with an international bpo from and quit the job and joined a reputed bank in the year 2014 on August 1. My last working day was supposed to be 31st July 2014 however since most bpos have sat n sun fixed off my previous boss updated d lwd as 3rd aug leading to dual employment. So my new organization d bank decided to change my joining date to 4rd August and provided me a physical letter with the date change in November 2014.
When asked the hr how long it would take for it to be updated in the system the hr said it takes 2-3 months for all systems to be updated post which I also missed checking.now I quit dis organisation n decided to join y organisation.when I received the relieving letter from dis bank it did not have the modified date of joining.they are denying to update the same now stating it has been reported to statutory n compliance reports as this is a 6 year old issue.
When asked why was the letter issued they are saying why didn't I come back in 6 yrs as date of joining is also mentioned there. whilst I understand it's a miss at my end d organization is completly shying away from getting this updated on statutory n compliance issue grounds leading to a dual employment n my new organization not hiring me. I have shared the letter with the new organization n dey are asking for a fresh relieving letter with the correct date only. How can this be fixed plz advice?

Will they issue a proper letter explaining the facts and if so check whether such a letter will satisfy the new employer?
