Dear Seniors,
I am into a very unusual situation.
My co. is allowing me to pursue regular mba course - time duration is one year (for the 1 year, I 'll be working as part timer)
but my problem is should I go for executive pgpm course dat is one year course or there is a institute in delhi which is not so renowned bt they would give me lateral entry in final year.
Wat sud I do.........sud I go for executive pgpm course from a gud institute or should go for dat other regular mba course
plz advise at the earliest...................

Hello amazingplanet,
First of all, give a thought & decide for yourself YOUR OBJECTIVE(S) of doing the MBA--everyone has his/her own set of reasons/objectives for taking any step in education/career/life.
In your case, is it just to add another degree to your name OR land-up with a better paying job OR just for the kick of it (seriously) OR something else?
Then evaluate the college/institution where you plan to do the course--w.r.t how & where is your objective(s) is/are being met. Just go for that Institution then.
All the Best.

Thanks a lot.
whenever I apply for a job in gud companies,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,they have the tag line " regular mba"
I hav 3 years experience in my field & i want to continue in the same field. I don;t want to leave my job and pursue regular 2 years mba.
My main objective for pursuing mba is that I wanna add my qualification plus not just correspondence so dat it would help me in my career

Hello amazingplanet,
I think you already have the answer in your query itself.
If you have noticed, the MBA from IIMs isn't called "MBA" but "PGDM", but you know the value this Degree has globally.
All the Best.

Hi AP
TS has given you a good advise. Your basic intention of pursuing a satisfying career is very good, I also liked your idea of continuing your work, rather than take a break for a regular MBA.
Can you provide more information on your query such as industry, job profile and your education.

I have been working with a co. which is into business of heavy machinery as Hr Executive from July 2009
I have done my graduation through correspondence & 3 years regular diploma in basic managment.
I am 22 years old & I want to do mba now. I m so confused that I was thinking for part time mba from lbsim or fms but some1 from this forum only told me that regular mba has got more value in job market.
Therefore now I m thinking for executive mba - 1 year full time from iilm as it would be full time course.
